The Test consists of two papers which were held in two separate sessions. All the two papers consist of only objective type questions.

Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

UGC NET Answer Key Jul 2018by CBSE

  • CBSE released scan copy of OMR sheet as well as answer key at cbsenet.nic.in.
  • Date of availability of official answer key of UGC NET July 2018 by CBSE is 2nd Week of August.
  • Candidates can log in to download answer key in PDF format and check OMR responses for a limited time only.

UGC NET Answer Key 2018 Challenge – Submit challenge online. If you are not satisfied with any answer, then log in to link (https://cbsenet.nic.in/). Pay a fee of Rs 1000 per question through credit / debit card to challenge. CBSE will refunds fee only if they accept the challenge.

UGC NET 2018 Challenge Response – Submit challenge online. Like above process, you can challenge recorded response by logging in at cbsenet.nic.in. Fee for this is also Rs 1000 per question. Mode of fee payment is credit / debit card. Refund for fee is applicable when CBSE accepts challenge.

The CBSE NET 2018 answer key contains correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. Candidates can download the scanned images of the OMR Answer Sheet and answer key by entering roll number and date of birth in the specified field.

How to Download CBSE UGC NET Answer Key 2018

Students can download the answer key by following the steps given below:

  1. Visit the UGC NET 2018 official website, which is cbsenet.nic.in and Click on the ‘Login for Answer Key and Recorded Response Challenge – NET November 2018’ button appearing on the screen.
  2. After Clicking on this button, on the Answer Key Page, enter the Application Number and Password to download the UGC NET Answer Key.
  3. On clicking on the Login Button, your account information appears on the screen
  4. Choose the ‘View Answer Keys‘ option to get the official UGC NET Answer Key.
  5. Select the suitable option and download the answer key.

How to Calculate Score?

Candidates can calculate score as per the specified marking scheme prescribed by CBSE. For every correct answer, candidates have to add 2 marks and calculate the score by adding the marks for every correct answer.

The formula to calculate the score –  Marks scored = Number of correct answers x 2.

CBSE NET 2018 Minimum Qualifying Marks

PROCEDURE & CRITERIA FOR DECLARATION OF RESULT:

This will comprise of following steps:

Step I: The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots) for Eligibility for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates appeared in both the papers of NET.

Step II: The total slots shall be allocated to different categories as per the reservation policy of Government of India.

Step III: In order to be considered for Both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Assistant Professor and for Eligibility for Assistant Professor Only , the candidate must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for General (Unreserved) category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates belonging to the reserved categories (viz., SC, ST, OBC (belonging to Non-Creamy Layer) & PWD) and Transgenders.

Step IV: The number of candidates to be declared qualified in any subject for a particular category is derived as per the following methodology illustrated below:

The aggregate percentage of the two papers corresponding to the number of slots arrived at, shall determine the qualifying cut-off for Eligibility for Assistant Professor in Economics for the SC category.

Similar yardstick shall be employed for deriving the subject-wise qualifying cut-offs for all categories.

Step V: All candidates who had applied for Eligibility for JRF & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both out of the total number of qualified candidates derived as per Step IV, shall constitute the consideration zone for JRF.

Step VI: The total number slots available for awarding JRF is allocated among different categories as per the reservation policy of Government of India. The procedure for subjectwise cum category-wise allocation of JRF slots is illustrated below:

Similar formula will be used for OBC/SC/ST category and all the subjects.

The aggregate percentage of the two papers corresponding to the number of JRF slots arrived at, shall determine the qualifying cut-off for JRF in Economics for the ST category.

Similar allocation procedure is used for all subjects and categories.
