GBPUAT  announces Entrance Exam 2019 for admission to UG, PG, MCA (except M.Tech) & PhD Programs

GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Admission 2019 – Applications are invited by GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Entrance exam for admission to Undergraduate, PG, MCA (except M.Tech) and PhD program of the University for the session 2019.

GBPUAT Admission 2019 Important Dates

  • Online filling of application form for UG, Masters, MCA and PhD programme 15th Feb to 30th March 2019
  • Last date for receipt of print out of online application form for UG, Masters, MCA and Ph.D program 09th April 2019
  • Online Filling of online form for M.Tech Programme 15th Feb to 30th April 2019
  • Last date of receipt of print out of online application form for M.Tech. 09th May 2019

Schedule of Entrance Exam:

  • Ph.D. & Masters: 01st June 2019 (10.00am to 1.00pm)
  • Undergraduate and M.C.A.: 02nd June 2019 (10.00am to 1.00pm)

Eligibility Criteria for GBPUAT Admission 2019

For B Tech Courses:

  • Should have appeared and qualified for JEE Main 2019. Admissions will be solely done on this basis.

For Ph.D. (Agronomy and Plant pathology)

  • Should have appeared and cleared the ICAR entrance examination for the same

For Master’s Programme (Molecular Biology and biotechnology)

  • Should have appeared and cleared the JNU entrance exam for the same

For MBA

  • Should have appeared and qualified for the CAT and CMAT score and GD and an interview conducted by the university.

For M.Tech Programme

  • GATE qualifying marks in the subject (Major) in which admission is sought will be considered, then BTech merit marks. For other State candidates, ICAR entrance test marks will be considered.

For MCA Programme

  • GBPUAT will be conducting a university level entrance exam. Interested candidates should clear this exam.

Undergraduates Programmes

  • B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Food Technology: Intermediate Agriculture/Science with mathematics of biology or equivalent exam
  • B.V.Sc. & A.H.: Intermediate Science with physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or equivalent examination and should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for general category and 40% for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST) in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and
  • English B.F.Sc.: Intermediate Science with Biology/Agriculture or equivalent examination
  • B.Sc Home Science: Intermediate Science with mathematics or Biology

Selection Process

  • All admissions in the University shall be made strictly on merit as determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Competitive Entrance Examination to be conducted by the University, except the following:
  • Admissions to MCA program shall be made on the basis of separate Entrance Exam to be conducted by the University
  • Admissions to master’s program in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology shall be made through the entrance examination conducted by J.N.U., New Delhi
  • For M.Tech Programs, admission shall be made first based on the qualified GATE qualifying marks in the subject (major) in which admission is sought. Vacant seats shall be filled based on OGPA/percentage (%) of marks of B.Tech

GBPUAT Admission 2019 Application Process

  • For filling the application form candidate should log on to the website www.gbpuat.ac.in

The examination fee is as follows:

  • For General/ OBC Rs. 1200/-
  • For SC/ ST/ PH Rs. 300/-
