BARC Recruitment 2018 – Online Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the Posts of Stipendiary Trainees Category – I & II, Technician, Pharmacist & Various other positions in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mysore and Challakere/ Chitradurga

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • The educational details for the posts of BARC Recruitment 2018 are described as:
  • Stipendiary Trainees Category-1: B. Sc. Chemistry/Physics with a minimum of 60% marks or Diploma in Engineering – 3 Years after SSC or 2 years after HSC/BSc., in the relevant trades with a minimum of 60% marks in Diploma
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 24 years
  • Stipendiary Trainees Category-2: Minimum 60% marks in HSC with Physics, Chemistry & Maths OR Minimum 60% marks in SSC with Science & Maths PLUS trade certificate of not less than one-year duration in Chemical Plant Operator
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 22 years
  • Technician-B/Boiler Attendant: The Candidate must have an SSC passed with a Valid II Class Boiler Attendant’s Certificate
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 25 years
  • Sub-Officer-B: The Candidates must have a 10th Standard, SSC Pass or equivalent, plus Sub Officer’s Course from National Fire Service College
  • With Physical Standards: Height: 165 Cms. Minimum, Weight: 50 Kgs. Minimum, Chest: 81 Cms. Normal, Chest: 86 Cms. Expansion
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 40 years
  • Driver-cum-Pump-operator-cum-Fireman: The Candidates must have an HSC, 10+2, Science with Chemistry or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks with a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License with minimum one-year driving experience + Certificate Course. With physical standards: Height: 165 Cms. Minimum, Weight: 50 Kgs Minimum, Chest: 81 Cms. Normal, Chest: 86 Cms. Expansion
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 25 years
  • Driver Ordinary Grade: The Candidates must have an Xth Standard – SSC Pass or equivalent with a possession of a valid driving license to drive light and heavy vehicles and knowledge of motor mechanism. The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 27 years
  • Security Guard: The Candidates must have an Xth Standard passed with an SSC Pass or equivalent
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 27 years
  • Pharmacist-B: Interested Candidates must have an HSC, 10+2, + 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy + 3 months Training in Pharmacy + Registration as a Pharmacist with Central or State Pharmacy Council.
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 27 years
  • Steno-Grade-III: Matriculation or equivalent with 50% marks with A speed of 80 words per minute in English stenography and a Typing speed in English of 30 words per minute
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 30 years
  • Upper division Clerk: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with an aggregate of 50% marks
  • Age Criteria: Between 18 to 27 years

 

Selection Process for BARC Recruitment 2018

The Selection process for the posts is declared as:

For the Posts of Stipendiary Trainee Category-1

  • The selection process will consist of a screening test and interview
  • Screening Test: The Objective type examination comprises of 40 questions which will be of one-hour duration in Diploma / BSc level subjects. 2½ marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ½ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Interview: Candidates those who have cleared the screening test will be called for the interview. Final selection and ranking will be based on the performance of the candidates in the interview and no weightage will be given for marks scored in the screening test.

For the Posts of Stipendiary Trainee Category-2 & Technician-B/Boiler Attendant:

  • The selection process will consist of 3 stages. Stage 1 & 2 – Written Test and Stage 3 –Trade Test There will be negative marking in the written test.
  • Stage 1: Preliminary Test: Written examination comprising of 50 Multi Choice Questions of one-hour duration in the following proportion: Mathematics – 20 questions • Science – 20 questions. General Awareness – 10 questions 3 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Stage 2: Advanced Test: Candidates clearing Preliminary Test will be eligible for Advanced Test in their respective trade. The test will comprise 50 Multi Choice Questions of 2 hours duration. 3 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Stage 3: Skill Test: Only for those candidates who have cleared the Stage-2 test. Candidates clearing the Skill Test will be shortlisted and empanelled in order of merit based on marks secured in Stage-2

Pay Scale

  • Stipendiary Trainees Category-1: SC- 3, ST-1, OBC-6 and UR-16= 26: Rs.16000/- per month
  • Stipendiary Trainees Category-2: SC-7, ST-3, OBC-14, UR-28= 52: Rs.10500/- per month
  • Technician-B/Boiler Attendant: SC-1, OBC-1, and UR-1= 03: Rs. 21,700/-
  • Sub-Officer-B: UR-01= 01: Rs. 35400/-
  • Driver-cum-Pump-operator-cum-Fireman: UR-03= 03: Rs. 21,700/-
  • Driver Ordinary Grade: OBC-1, UR-2= 03: Rs. 19900/-
  • Security Guard: SC-1, OBC-3, UR-5= 09: Rs. 18000/-
  • Pharmacist-B: UR-01= 01: Rs. 29200/
  • Steno-Grade-III: UR-01= 01: Rs. 25500/-
  • Upper Division Clerk: OBC-1, UR-2= 03: Rs. 25500/-
  • Total – Role Stipendiary Trainees: Salary Rs.18000-Rs.35400/-

Application Fee

  • For the posts of Category-I: Rs. 150/-
  • For the posts of Category-II: Rs.100
  • Mode of payment of the Application Fee is through Online. Fee is exempted for candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD, Ex-serviceman and Women category
