Question: What is Validity of UGC NET?

Answer: UGC NET eCertificate is valid Life Time, however JRF Letter of Award is valid for only Two Years from date of results.

Question: How to get UGC NET eCertificate?

Answer: Candidates who cleared CBSE/UGC NET exam can download eCertificate from UGC NET Official Website

Steps to download eCertificate:

  • Open UGC NET Official Website
  • Login with your Registered eMail ID and Password
    • If you do not know/remember your password, click on Forgot Password and retrieve it quickly
  • After successful login click on Download eCertificatelink which can be seen in left side panel
  • Click on Click Here to Download e-Certificate button

For security reasons every UGC NET eCertificate is protected with a secured and unique password which is set by default password pattern. However it can be easily identified/cracked by the candidate him/her self without any help, below is the password pattern which user can check out.

Question: What is the Password of UGC NET e-Certificate?

Answer: The UGC NET e-Certificate is protected by a password, which is a combination of first four letters of your name (in capital letters) and your date of birth as DDMMYYYY.

Question: How to get UGC NET JRF Letter?

Answer: Candidates who cleared UGC NET with JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) will be given JRF “Letter of Award” which will be sent to the candidates home address after releasing eCertificates on UGC NET Official Website (typically within 2 months)

Question: How to Recover Lost Application Number/Roll Number or Password of NTA UGC NET Exam?

Answer: CBSE has provided an option to recover the the lost or forgotten Application Number/Roll Number or Password.

Follow below steps to get back your Application Number/Roll Number or Password

  1. Open CBSE NET Official website
  2. Click on “Fill Application Form” or “Login for Admit Card” or “Login for Image Correction” or “Challenge Answer Keys”
  3. Right Side you can see “I can’t access my account ?” (Link provided at bottom)
  4. There will be 2 options
    1. I forgot my Password – [To Recover Password]
      • You can proceed with any one of the options below
      • Using Security Question & its Answer you chosen during Form filling.
      • Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to your Registered Mobile No.
      • Using a reset link sent via Email to your Registered Email address.
    2. I forgot my Application Number – [To Recover Application Number]
      • You will need to fill in below required information (As mentioned during online application)
      • Candidate’s Name :
      • Mother’s Name :
      • Father’s Name :
      • Date of Birth : (Day Month Year – Format)
      • Security Pin (case sensitive) : (Auto Generated Pin, which is displayed bottom of the form)
  5. Once you have filled the required information – Click on Submit Button to get back your Application Number or Password
