CBSE class 10, 12 board question paper pattern to change from 2020
CBSE Exam Pattern for Class 10, 12 board exams may change – According to Media reports Central Board of Secondary Education, (CBSE) is planning to bring change in the question paper pattern of CBSE 10th, 12th board exams. These changes are likely to be implemented from CBSE Board Exam 2020.
The board is expected to shift the focus of the paper pattern from rote learning to conceptual understanding. New Exam pattern would test students on their analytical abilities.
An HRD Official has told TOI that the changes in paper pattern, as and if implemented would be duly made available on the official website cbse.nic.in. These changes would not be implemented in CBSE Board Examination 2019.According to the HRD official, the question paper would include more short answer questions of 1 to 5 marks. The focus, as per the official, was to test the conceptual and critical thinking abilities of the students. The new paper pattern, once approved, would be implemented from the academic year 2019-20.
The plan also includes conducting vocational exams in February and ending the boar exams by end of March. So that the examination process complete in time and also release the results in early May or last week of April.
The board is already working toward the changes in the pattern of Questions from 2020, said the official.
Apart from this, the board is also planning an overhaul of the CBSE bylaws. As per the proposal submitted for approval, the affiliation of the school/ institution would be based on the ability of the institution to provide quality education. Board would also test the availability of quality infrastructure.
