MFSc Courses 2016 at Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati
Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) Tirupati has invited applications from eligible applicants for admission into M.F.Sc and PhD (Aquaculture) Course in Fishery Sciences for 2016-17 sessions.
Eligibility for SVVU Tirupati MFSc Admission 2016
Qualification: Applicants seeking admission into Master’s Degree course must have passed the relevant Bachelor’s Degree Examination i.e. B.F.Sc from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University /ANGR Agricultural University or an institution accreditated by ICAR.
B.F.Sc of 4 years duration. In the above qualifying examination, the applicants must have secured minimum OGPA of 6.00/10.00 for general category (for SC/ST/PH-5.00/10.00) or 2.50/4.00 for general category (2.00/4.00 in case of SC/ST/PH) or 60% marks in traditional system (for SC/ST/PH-55%); only residents of AP/Telangana are eligible.
Applicants with PG qualification are eligible for admission into second PG program but such applicants are not eligible for stipend; applicants who are already prosecuting MFSc are eligible to apply.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 01st July 2016.
Selection Procedure for SVVU Tirupati MFSc Admission 2016
i) M.F.Sc: The selection of the applicants shall be based on the previous academic record (B.F.Sc-30%, Intermediate 10+2-10%, 10th Class-5% and achievements in extracurricular activities 5% and performance in Entrance test 70%).
The entrance test shall be comprehensive one, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the degree requirements of this University as per ICAR guidelines. The Entrance Exam paper contains only 200 Multiple Choice Questions; the applicants have to mark answers by darkening circles on OMR sheet; the applicants getting 40% or more marks in entrance test only are eligible.
ii) Weightage as indicated below will be given subject to a maximum of 5 marks on production of certificates for achievement (Prizes/Medals) in NCC/NSS/Sports/Games/Cultural/Literary activities at B.F.Sc Programme.
iii) The applicants applying for admission should appear for Entrance Test at their own expenses.
For Local & Non-Local Applicants: Reservation of seats for applicants belonging to different local areas of the state shall be as per rules (Appendix-I).
For SC/ST & BC Applicants: 15%, 6% and 29% of the seats in each course of study shall be reserved for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and BC respectively as per the existing Govt. rules.
Differently Abled Applicants: 3% seats are reserved for physically challenged applicants as per the Govt. norms.
For Women: 1/3rd of the total seats shall be reserved for women. If no female applicant is available, male applicant will fill it up.

The downloaded and duly filled in downloaded application along with attested copies of required certificates and a crossed Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.1000/- towards Registration (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PH applicants) drawn on any Nationalized bank favouring Comptroller, SVVU, payable at Tirupati, must reach the Registrar, SVVU, Administrative Office, Dr.Y.S.R. Bhavan, Tirupati-517502 on or before October 10th 2016 by 04.00 pm either in person or by Registered Post with Acknowledgement due; application received after due date will be rejected.
The hall tickets can be obtained from PG section, Administrative Office, SVVU during working days and working hours during October 21st to October 22nd 2016.
