The test is held for 31 subjects, the most after UGC NET. The number of candidates for APSET 2016 is considerably low as compared to last year when around 1.02 lakh had taken the test.

About 75 percent candidates took the APSET 2016 on August 11.

The statistics also show that out of the total who took APSET last year, some 20 thousand clear the step I while only around 6.4 thousand could be declared qualified.

The test is conducted to ensure the eligibility of a candidate for the posts of Assistant Professors and Lecturers. Although qualifying APSET doesn’t guarantee job to an aspirant but it is compulsory to qualified the test in order to be able to eligible to apply for government jobs on above two posts.

Important note:

The answer keys will remain on the website for five days i.e. till September 25.

Further, candidates can submit the same via email to the Member Secretary, APSET-2016, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. This is the email address, apsetau@gmail.com   .

Any objections received after the scheduled time or without the documentary support will not be entertained.

As for the results, APSET 2016 results are expected to be declared toward October-end and November. Considering that in 2015, the test was held in February and results were announced in June, it can be speculated that Andhra University will declare the results of APSET-2016 in about 3 months after the holding of the test. However it’s 2016 and the boards usually announce results sooner, so expect the results in October-end.

But Andhra University will eventually notify about the date of APSET 2016 result declaration and nothing solid can be said without any official consent. We’ll update here when we’ve more.
