TS TET 2016 to be held on 24 January

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India.

The Telangana State Government will be conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on January 24, 2016. The exam is being conducted for recruitment at 1,069 primary and secondary level teacher posts. Check the details give below.

TS TET Exam Pattern 2016:-

The TS TET Exam will be conducted in 2 papers.

  • Paper 1: Consist of the following sections:
  1. Child Development and Pedagogy
  2. Language I
  3. Language II
  4. Mathematics
  5. Environmental Studies

Paper 2: Consist of the following sections:

  1. Child Development and Pedagogy
  2. Language I
  3. Language II
  4. Mathematics and Science
  5. Social Studies

Educational qualification: The candidates interested in applying for this exam should have passed graduate degree in concerned subjects and should have also qualified B.Ed exam or equivalent from a recognised university/college.

Selection procedure: A written test and interview will be conducted for shortlisting and final selection of the candidates.
