Recruitment of Probationary Officers in Junior Management Grade Scale-I on Successful Completion of Specially Designed Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance (PGDBF) Course
Canara Bank, a leading Public Sector Bank with Head Office in Bengaluru and pan India presence with over 6100 branches, invites ON-LINE APPLICATIONS, from the eligible candidates to apply for admissions to the specially designed One year training course leading to Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) either through Manipal Global Education Services Pvt Ltd., Bengaluru or NITTE Education International Pvt Ltd., Mangaluru, which are recognised by UGC
Candidates will undergo 9 month classroom training at Manipal global, Bangalore campus or NTTE education, Mangaluru campus followed by a 3 month internship at canara bank branches

Probationary Officer (scale I): 450 seats [GEN – 227, OBC – 121, SC – 67, ST – 35]
Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification: A Degree (Graduation) with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWBD) or equivalent grade, in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years – Maximum 30 years i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1988 and not later than 01.01.1998 (both days inclusive)
Computer Literacy:
Operating & working knowledge in computer systems shall be an essential qualification, which a candidate must either possess or acquire within 6 months from the date of joining the Bank
Hindi Knowledge:
The candidates shall acquire working knowledge in Hindi, if not possessed already, before completion of probationary period
Selection Process:
The selection process consists of online test, Group discussion and Interview. Online objective test will be conducted through Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Mumbai.
All eligible applicants must appear for a written exam to be held on 4th March 2018, for 2 hours at various centres across India
Salary & Emoluments after joining the Bank on successful completion of PGDBF Course
On completion of 12 months training, the trainees shall be awarded Post graduate diploma in banking & finance along with their appointment letter to work as PO in Canara bank. The total salary be approx Rs.27, 000 – 32,000 / month depending on the posting location
Course Fee
The cost of undergoing this course shall be Rs.3.50 lacs (NTTE education) or Rs.4.13 lakhs (Manipal global), which can be paid as lumpsum or by availaing educational loan from the bank
Service bond
All candidates chosen for appointment as PO in the bank must execute an agreement / security Bond to serve the bank for a minimum period of 5 years from the date of joining
He/ she is liable to pay an amount of Rs. 1 lakh + taxes, incase of quitting from service
